Privacy

Your data.
Kept simple.

This notice explains how personal information submitted through the GRYPH website is used. Gryphen Ltd is the data controller for information collected through the website.

Updates

If you ask to hear from GRYPH, we collect your email address and a record of when and where you gave consent. We use it only to send occasional GRYPH updates. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe route included with our updates.

Research studies

From time to time, GRYPH may run short research studies about viewing habits and related topics. The LCL-03A viewing study does not ask for your name, email address, exact address or account handle. We use the answers you choose to submit only to understand viewing-decision behaviour and improve our research and product decisions. Please do not include identifying information about yourself or other people in free-text answers. Research responses are not added to the GRYPH marketing list.

Security and spam prevention

We protect website forms using server-side validation, a hidden anti-bot field, origin checks and short-lived rate limiting. For rate limiting, we do not store the raw IP address; a one-way salted hash is used instead.

How long we keep information

Update sign-up information is kept while you remain subscribed and then retained only as needed to honour an unsubscribe request. Research responses are kept only as long as needed to conduct and document the study, normally up to 12 months; anonymised aggregate findings may be retained longer. Privacy requests are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and demonstrate compliance, normally up to 24 months. Temporary anti-abuse records are retained only for as long as needed to operate the rate limit. Enquiries previously submitted through an earlier version of the website may also be retained for up to 24 months under the notice in force when they were submitted.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights over your personal information including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent. You can use the privacy request form below to contact Gryphen Ltd about your personal information.

Service providers

We use carefully selected technology providers to host this website and process form submissions. Google Workspace is used to deliver privacy-request notifications. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide those services.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please use the privacy request route below so we can review it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
